About
Welcome to Habaneros Mexican Grill & Cantina, the hidden gem of Scottsdale, AZ, located at 10392 N Scottsdale Rd Suite 103. This vibrant eatery offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for casual dining or family outings.
When you step inside, you're greeted by an open kitchen that fills the air with the tantalizing aromas of authentic Mexican cuisine. The spacious dining area is adorned with multiple TVs, making it an ideal spot for catching the big game while indulging in delicious food. This restaurant strikes the perfect balance between relaxed ambiance and energetic vibes, inviting both locals and visitors alike.
The menu at Habaneros is a delightful homage to traditional Mexican fare, with something for everyone. From mouthwatering burritos to savory tacos, the dishes are crafted with care. Take, for instance, the blackened chicken burrito, as one satisfied customer, O'Zandra, described—it's large, stuffed to the brim with fluffy rice, pico de gallo, and perfectly seasoned chicken. A dish that certainly does not disappoint!
Authenticity runs deep here. Customers celebrate the chilaquiles with chorizo, a breakfast favorite that Andrea Stewart couldn’t resist raving about, highlighting how the fresh ingredients and robust flavors come together to create an unforgettable meal. The house-made guacamole is another crowd-pleaser, adding a creamy richness that perfectly complements the zesty plates.
While some patrons may note minor hiccups in presentation, the dedication to quality service remains unwavering. The attentive staff certainly enhance the dining experience, whether you're a family of five like Katie Meier's or just looking for a quick bite on the way home.
For those seeking a touch of fun with their meals, Habaneros offers an impressive array of sauces, with free refills on horchata to cool off. It's a stress-free, informal setting where delicious food takes center stage. Yet, be advised, the dining here can come at a slightly higher price point, but many argue, as Trevor Hyatt noted, that the quality justifies the cost.
In conclusion, Habaneros Mexican Grill & Cantina is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Mexican dishes in a friendly environment. With ample indoor and outdoor seating, easy parking, and mouthwatering meals waiting to be devoured, this Scottsdale locale ticks all the boxes for a delightful dining experience.
“ A little bit more pricey than any regular Mexican food joint. The food is good though and the service is attentive. My only criticism is some of the food doesn’t look presented well. My daughter got really sick the night after she ate shrimp tacos here. I can’t say definitively that that’s why, but maybe make sure that shrimp cooked really well. ”
“ I stopped in for a blackened chicken burrito to-go. It was huge! That thing did not disappoint! It was filled with rice, pico, and chicken, Delicious. The restaurant is spacious, with an open kitchen and dining area. There are multiple TVS throughout the facility and a bar that is off to the side of the grill. You order at the counter, the menu is presented on a big display. The staff are all pleasant. They have indoor and outdoor seating. It is located within a shopping center so there is plenty of parking with accessible parking spaces as well as entrances. ”
“ I see some negative reviews here but that was not my experience. Personally, I found it pleasant and the food was enjoyable. My expectations were not extremely high, nor should they be, considering the horchata is in the form of fountain drink. Nonetheless, free refills on that! I like this place for being an informal, relaxed setting with good food, and would consider returning sometime. The variety of sauces certainly added flavor and fun to the meal. The guacamole was tasty too. ”
“ The service was quick and helpful. Queso tasted really good. Great place to go to watch sports with the amount if tvs in there ”
“ Loved it! Very authentic and the staff was super nice! Took my family of 5 at 6pm on a Sat & got seated immediately. Food was great! Lots of options, which we need with 3 picky kids a vegetarian mom & a meatatarian dad. Will def go back! ”
“ This tiny place is awesome! The food's amazing, perfectly seasoned. That carne asada taco was incredible – the meat was so good, it didn't even need salsa. The atmosphere's great too; the salsas are good, though the habanero one was way too spicy and lacked flavor. But that green salsa? Perfect! ”
“ It’s been a long time since I’ve been here, and I finally came back for breakfast instead of my usual lunch. I tried the chilaquiles with chorizo for the first time and wow they were seriously amazing. This place always delivers with fresh food, great salsa, and awesome service. ”
“ I used to be a regular at Habaneros back when I lived on this side of town, and revisiting felt like catching up with an old friend. While I don’t dine here as often now, the quality hasn’t skipped a beat. This time around, I tried the chilaquiles for the first time—bold, flavorful, and unexpectedly crave-worthy. I also got one ground beef taco, and it was everything a taco should be: crispy shell, savory filling, and just the right touch of spice. And the service? Truly wonderful. Friendly, attentive, and made me feel right at home, even after all this time away. If you're craving comfort food with a punch of authenticity and warm hospitality, Habaneros still delivers. Definitely worth the detour. ”
